A coach (standard 46 seater size) with wheelchair hoist and clamp downs is used – an estimate of capacity (based on manual wheelchairs) is 16 wheelchair positions and 4 standard seats. Foldable/collapsible chairs/scooters only can be stored in the luggage area under the coach.
Determinants of final numbers are:
- type of wheelchairs being used
- number of passengers who will be getting into the van / coach seats when travelling
Quality hotels are used throughout. All access rooms have a roll in shower with hand rails and shower seat (either wall mounted or free standing), and handrails by the toilet. In Blenheim accommodation will be in both a hotel and nearby motels
