In all honesty, it took me a long time until I was ready to invite clients to join a group trip whether cruise or land. As a disabled traveler, I wasn’t sure that others with mobility disabilities would enjoy traveling with a large group of people using wheelchairs or scooters. Boy, was I wrong! It was the encouragement of my clients and peers who convinced me to undertake this task. It all started at an Amputee Coalition Conference a few years ago when I was approached by one member to put together a cruise for amputees. This was quickly followed by a request to do a cruise for young adults with Spina Bifida. BINGO! Both cruises were huge successes and were followed by repeat events. We are now doing our groups for anyone with mobility disabilities, their families and friends regardless of type of disability.
I believe our success is a result of the instant bond that is formed among those of us who travel a little differently and perhaps a little slower. Young or old, we understand and relate to each other and have immense compassion for each person’s individual situation. We are accepting and kind. If you haven’t already done so, I suggest you consider joining one of our group trips in the future. I believe you will be very happy with your decision.
Take a look at our website and check out our blogs and videos on our group travel adventures.

Will have a new power chair soon and will be traveling with it. It’s portable and only weighs 59 lbs. Will this be a problem?
Debra Kerper says
It is not a problem. We have several participants who are full time in large power chairs. Please call me Sunday or Monday so I can answer any other questions.

I am impressed with your company! Maybe just the right trip for me will come along soon. I was a tour guide in Dallas 15 years ago for about 15 years. So far I have managed to set things up and go with family or friends-especially on cruises. (I have done about 60). I can surely see going on tours with your groups though. Please keep me posted especially about bus trips which I no longer take because not many busses have lifts for my scooter. Although I am 76, I’m still driving, painting and playing bridge etc., and I swim every day in the summer at my house with a friend. In fact, I am a member of the Carrolton Senior Center where I sometimes paint on Fridays. I am delighted my daughter found you for me! I will check your website and stay in touch. You are an impressive lady!
Debra Kerper says
Thank you for your nice comments. I live in Carrollton and would love to meet you. If you are active at the senior center, perhaps I could give a presentation there sometime. I hope you signed up for my newsletter. You can do this from my website.
